About Four: The Initiate by Veronica Roth
Told from Tobias’s point of view, “The Initiate” follows his Dauntless initiation after he leaves Abnegation and his father, Marcus. This second story in the four-part Four collection gives readers a look at the challenges and rivalries he faces as a new initiate, including a dangerous conflict with Eric and the fear landscape.
The story also touches on Tobias’s first tattoo, a late-night game of Dare, and his growing interest in training new initiates. Readers of the Divergent stories who want more of Tobias’s perspective will find this a focused companion to that world.
