About The Brood by Devney Perry
Wilder Abbott has spent nearly a decade choosing solitude, with his work as a high school science teacher in Calamity, Montana providing most of his social contact. When an old friend asks for a favor, Wilder agrees to host the friend’s younger sister, Iris Monroe, for two months.
Iris is no longer the quiet girl Wilder remembers. She is curious about his past, and her questions make it difficult for him to keep his secrets to himself. The Brood is a contemporary romance centered on an unexpected houseguest, an old friendship, and a guarded teacher confronting feelings he would rather keep at a distance.
